This Summer is going to be a short trail riding season because of the snow in the high country. A lot of our trails aren't even open yet and it's already the end of July.
But! we have some new trails that are well cleared and places to go that are beautiful and places we haven't gone to as often as others.
Jim and I invite you to join us for a couple of our Day Rides, we'll even pack in some grub for the rest stop at the lake. Our first ride will Tanglefoot to Moraine Lake.
Day Ride Tanglefoot to Lake Moraine:
Enter the Mokelumne Wilderness on the most western edge at the Tangelfoot Trailhead from behind Bear River. We will ride from there, through Tanglefoot Canyon to Moraine Lake with a lunch stop at the lake and a good visit! The views are incredible, to give you an idea of the panoramic scenery… this trail continues from Moraine Lake to Munson Meadow below the North West slope of Mokelumne Peak.
This ride is a moderate to advanced ride and is rocky in parts of the trail, we recommend that horses be completely shod.
